Answer of Riddle Number 2

Ok this is the answer of the second riddle that was asked on my blog recently. As you all know, the answer of the first riddle was guessed correctly by Rahim Syed. But no one was able to guess the answer of the second one.
So here is the riddle with it's answer.


You are on a horse, galloping at constant speed. On your right is a sharp drop, and on your left is an elephant thundering along at the same speed as you. Directly in front of you is a galloping kangaroo and your horse is unable to overtake it. Behind you is a lion running at the same speed as you and the kangaroo. What must you do to get out of this highly dangerous situation?


Ans: Get off the merry-go-round. 

Pakistan wins a thriller to seal the series

 Surprisingly, Pakistan won the 4th ODI against Sri Lanka in Sharjah to seal the series 3-1, with some help of the brilliant all-rounder, Shahid Afridi. Pakistan's captain Misbah-Ul-Haq won the toss and elected to bat first.




It was a sad story for Pakistan when they were 6-97 in the 28th over! But thankfully Afridi batted sensibly and made a well played 75 of just 65 balls. This was his first half-century in almost a year! 
The Sri Lankans bowled well and bowled out the Pakistanis for a humble total of 200. Fernando was the best out of the lot as he took three wickets and he was supported by the spinners J Mendis and Prasanna, who bamboozled the batsmen with their googlies.  

The Pakistanis started their attack on a high note when Cheema dismissed Tharanga in the 4th over and Dilshan in the 7th one. Hafeez bowled nicely and finally Chandimal tried sweeping him and got bowled! But after that Sangakkara and Jayawardene batted well and formed a good partnership. The Pakistani bowlers bowled well and did not allow any easy runs but these batsmen did not throw their wicket away. Until the 37th over it looked like Sri Lanka was going to win easily but then Afridi worked his magic and got his wicket. After that the game changed. Ajmal dismissed Mathews while Afridi got the wickets of Mendis, Jayawardene and Prasanna in quick succession. Then finally he got the wicket of Perera to complete his five wicket haul and to win the match. Well done Boom Boom.

Afridi was declared man of the match while Pakistan won the series 3-1. There is still one more ODI which will be played on Wednesday 4:00 PM (pakistani time)

Answer Of Riddle Number 1

Hey guys! Ok I know that all of you have been waiting for the answers of the riddles I had posted recently. Actually, I never intended to post the answer this early. But Rahim Syed guessed the answer of the first riddle correctly so I had to post the answer. Wel done Rahim!!
So this is the riddle with it's answer.

If there are three cups of sugar and you take one away, how many do you have?
Ans: One (as you took one away so there is one with you and that's how you have 1)


Anyways, the answer of the next riddle will be posted anytime this week unless someone guesses it right. If that happens then it will be posted immediately. So keep checking this blog!!   

Sri Lanka Thrashes Pakistan To Level The Series

Sadly, Sri Lanka manged to defeat Pakistan in the second ODI of the series. This would be a relief for them after the disaster that occurred in the first ODI when they were bowled out for 132 in 40.3 overs. Anyways, this win has leveled the series 1-1. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan's fielding was sloppy as Tharanga was dropped twice, once by Imran Farhat in the covers and then by the Wicket-Keeper Sarfraz Ahmed. Then Tharanga went on to make a game changing 77 off 120 balls. Until the 36th over everything under Pakistan's control but when the Batting Powerplay was taken, Jayawardene and Tharanga hit the Pakistani bowlers strongly and made some quick runs which got then to a good total of 235.   

Sri Lanka started their bowling attack on a high note when Malinga dismissed Mohammad Hafeez and Younis Khan in the first over! Imran Farhat soon followed when Perera got one to swing back into his pads for a lbw. Misbah-ul-Haq and Umar Akmal played well and looked to bring Pakistan back in the game. But all hope was lost when Fernando lbw Misbah. Sri Lanka moved closer to victory when Abdul Razzak got run out. This run out was a very strange one as Umar Akmal tapped the ball to long on for a double. The surprising thing was that Abdul Razzaq just jogged along when he had to run fast to get in his crease. It was like he wanted to get run out. I am not accusing him of match fixing but I do think it is sad that our players play like this. Umar Akmal made a good 91 but when he got out, it was all over. 

So Sri Lanka won the match by 25 runs and leveled the series 1-1. Malinga was declared the Man Of The Match.  The third ODI will be played on Friday, 18/11/11 at 4:00 PM (Pakistani Time)

Pakistan's Victory Over The Sri Lankans

Finally Pakistan managed to beat the Sri Lankans in a test series. The first test match ended up as a draw, then the Pakistanis managed to win the second one and the last one also ended up as a draw. Kumar Sangakkara and Saeed Ajmal were declared the men of the series. Pakistan are 6th in the ICC test rankings. Now they are going to play 5 ODIs. The first one starts on Friday 11/11/11 at 4:00 PM (Pakistani Time)

Banned Trio Gets Thrown In Jail

Everyone knows the story of the banned trio which contains Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt. They had been accused of match-fixing in a test match in London against England. After a long court discussion Judge Jeremy Cooke decided to throw them all in jail. Salman Butt will be jailed for 2 and a half years, Mohammad Asif for 1 year while Mohammad Amir will only be jailed for 6 months.
