Pakistan's Chances of Winning the Asian Cup

Well, Pakistan's chances of winning the Asian Cup are pretty slim. We have won a lot of matches in 2011, but 2011 is over and this is a whole new year. And after the humiliating defeat against England, the whole team's confidence is shattered. It's not the fact that we lost that bothers me, it's the way we lost. And it would be very hard for the players to play properly with the memory of the whitewash dancing in their minds.

We do have a really strong bowling attack with the likes of Ajmal, Afridi, Hafeez and Gul. But the main problem is our fragile batting lineup. On sub-continent pitches you have to score 260 minimum to even have a chance of winning and recently the Pakistani batsmen have not managed to do that.

Pakistan have made some changes though by dropping Shoaib Malik, Adan Akmal and Imran Farhat. And to replace them they have brought Wicket-Keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed and opening batsmen Nasir Jamshed. Hopefully Nasir Jamshed's firepower and Sarfaraz's skill's behind the stumps will help Pakistan.
